tailroom

Coming to iPhone

Make tailroom in your head.

A voice-first iOS app for clearing what's still running in working memory. Speak what's on your mind. Hear it back accurately. Leave with a little more room than you arrived with.

One email when it ships. No nurture, no newsletter, no account.

Your brain is out of RAM.

When you're carrying too much, your brain starts queueing everything — including the things you'd normally enjoy. A weekend stops feeling like rest and starts feeling like the only chance to catch up. A holiday becomes logistics before it's anywhere near anticipation.

This isn't a mood problem. It's a working-memory problem. Until the things still running get externalised, they keep running in the background. There's no spare capacity for rest, for being present, for any of it.

How Tailroom works.

No prompts. No streaks. No daily check-ins. You open it when your head is full and you need somewhere to put it.

  1. 01

    Open it

One screen. One prompt — “What's still running?” — and one record button. No mood selector. No question about your day.

  2. 02

    Say it messy

Talk for a minute or two. Loops, half-decisions, the thing you've been avoiding. Speech-to-text happens on your device while you go.

  3. 03

    Read it back

One specific sentence that proves you were heard. Then five short sections — what's still running, what's heavy, what can wait, what can close, what you kept reaching for.

  4. 04

    Set it down

A single closing line counts what just moved out of your head. Save it, send a piece somewhere if you want, and get on with your day with a bit more room.

Not a journal. Not a therapist. Not another to-do list.

The category Tailroom looks closest to has failed the people we're building this for. So we left those parts out.

Private by default. Without qualifiers.

The strongest security guarantee a piece of software can offer is not collecting the data in the first place. That's the one Tailroom gives.

Audio never leaves your device

Transcription runs on-device via Apple's Speech framework. The audio buffer is released as soon as it's transcribed — nothing is written to disk.

No accounts, no tracking

No sign-up, no email collection, no IDFA, no analytics SDKs. We do not know who you are. We have no way to link any session to any person.

Not used for AI training

Only the transcript leaves the device — sent over TLS to Anthropic's API to generate the reflection. Anthropic does not train on API data by default. We retain nothing.

Face ID lock, on by default

Sessions are stored locally with the iOS keychain's protection class. Face ID unlocks the app. App switcher preview is blurred so previews don't leak content.

What's still running?

Tailroom is shipping to TestFlight first, then the App Store. Drop your email and we'll send a single note when it's ready.

One email. No newsletter. We won't even ask why you signed up.
